I have worked with and for Irvin for more than two years. In that period I have worked with much pleasure as a member of his Change Management team at RBS. Irvin is the kind of manager that gives you the opportunity to take your own responsibilities, but is always willing to help or guide you when necessary. Besides this Irvin has in-depth knowledge of ITIL processes and IT Service Management in general. Irvin is customer focused and is pragmatic in his approach. Furthermore Irvin does not hesitate to share his knowledge with others when necessary. For me it was a real pleasure to work with Irvin and if the opportunity would be there I would not hesitate to join a team led by Irvin.

Irvin was my manager for the last 8 months, he leads by example and I found him to be an excellent mentor, enabling me to grow within my role and supporting me throughout. As a Change Manager he understands the requirements of the role completely, in fact he defined the role for RBS, implementing ITIL practices wisely and in a way that supported and facilitated the business requirements during a period of unprecedented change activity within the organisation. I have learned a lot from him and I would relish working together in the future on another exciting project.

Having worked with Irvin in an often very challenging environment has truly brought to light his expertise and professionalism: as we were looking at items from very different and sometimes competing perspectives (namely change execution vs. limiting client impact), it has been great to see Irvin take a very balanced aproach, with a strong ambition to ensure all things were clear prior to entering any kind of change situation. While working for me Irvin headed the technology Change Management team. On a weekly base Irvin, and his team, assessed change readiness and supported change deployment coordination for many sometimes complex technology changes, using his skills and knowlegde of ITIL based processes. Irvin also assured adherence to governance policies for the planned changes. Irvin delivered these tasks very well. I have worked with Irvin since 2008. Irvin has an excellent understanding of the RBS NV Change Management process and of RBS NV systems. He acts in a professional manner at all times and has always been helpful to me and my colleagues in the UK over the last four years and is willing to explain decisions when clarification is needed . I first met Irvin in 2008, since then Irvin has worked for me during the ABN Amro integration into RBS and recently in his capacity as Head of Change Management EMEA. Irvin has vast experience in IT specialising recently in technology change management, he also has excellent experience in vendor and client management as well as managing his own teams. During the ABN integration he was instrumental in providing consultancy on the various processes and key stakeholder management. Irvin helped develop the strategy and current change process along with a change forward planning capability across the RBS N.V arena working very closely with the CTO. He is tenacious in his approach in ensuring process is adhered too and quality delivered. He has been an excellent colleague who has used his experience to provide guidance and not been afraid to challenge with appropriate feedback. A true professional.

Irwin is a strong and outstanding project manager- extremely focused on his client’s success. Irwin is a rare project manager who listens, clarifies, acts and then follows up to ensure satisfaction. He cares deeply about his work and has a strong attention to detail. He has a strong work ethic and will do what is necessary to ensure that the project is successful. Nothing phases Irwin--he keeps his same calm demeanor and this is why I believed he was asked to run our project. He is a respected and trusted confidant stepping up to ensure everyone is taken care of and has the support they need to carry out their responsibilities. It was a pleasure to be able to work with Irvin on our telecommunications project.

Irvin was one of the key engineers involved in our IP telephony project. The project was of a major scale for our organization, and Irvin’s attention to detail, proactive resolution of issues and client focus were major factors contributing to successfully completing this project. Irvin is very customer oriented and has shown diligence and dedication to finish work in time. I am very satisfied with his work and hope to have an opportunity to work with him again in the future.
